LA CRISI del centrodestra appare indubbiamente al suo culmine ma non è la prima volta che questo accade. Non è la prima volta che il suo ciclo appare al tramonto. Come in passato, dunque, la partita non si gioca solo sulla profondità di quella crisi ma anche sulla capacità o meno dell' opposizione di offrire alternative credibili. Di delineare un' idea di futuro. Di convincere realmente e concretamente gli elettori che non saranno ripetuti gli errori compiuti troppo spesso in precedenza. Sa bene, Gheddafi, che le espressioni d’indignazione o addirittura di disprezzo neocoloniale (il “Rais”, il “Satrapo”, lo hanno definito) che egli suscita nell’establishment politico -variamente motivate, quasi tutte incoerenti e ipocrite- sono il piccolo prezzo da pagare al riconoscimento politico, ad affari lucrosi, all’indennizzo cospicuo per “le sofferenze arrecate al popolo libico a seguito della colonizzazione italiana”: così recita il Trattato di amicizia, cooperazione e partenariato, che ha concluso il percorso iniziato dai protocolli  sottoscritti a Tripoli nel 2007 dal ministro Amato col sostegno politico di D’Alema, allora ministro degli esteri. Il corollario di tanta fervida amicizia –perfino servile, così da indurre il Cavaliere a baciare la mano del Colonnello come fosse il Papa- sono, come è noto, i pattugliamenti congiunti delle coste, i sistemi di controllo delle frontiere terrestri libiche (affidati a imprese italiane), i respingimenti collettivi di migranti e profughi, i cadaveri abbandonati nel deserto, le violenze e le torture inflitte ai migranti rinchiusi nelle prigioni e nei centri di detenzione. E qui il cerchio si chiude. Infatti, a pensarci bene, non è così paradossale quel che sembra tale. Lo scenario orientalista ostentato in un paese afflitto da islamofobia e arabofobia è una stranezza solo apparente. Per dirne un’altra, il film Il leone del deserto, sulla resistenza contro il colonialismo italiano in Libia, mai fino a oggi è entrato nel circuito ufficiale delle sale cinematografiche italiane: messo al bando nel 1982  -secondo Andreotti, allora capo del governo, infangava l’onore dell'esercito-, perseguito per vilipendio delle forze armate, solo dopo la visita italiana di Gheddafi nel 2009 fu proposto per la prima volta da una rete televisiva. Quanto al Leone del deserto, Omar al-Mukhtar, martire della resistenza anticoloniale ed eroe nazionale, temiamo si stia rivoltando nella tomba: in fondo, quelli che ora omaggiano il Colonnello sono, per lo meno sul piano culturale, i degni eredi di coloro che misero a morte al-Mukhtar dopo un processo sommario.
