Abbiamo l'esigenza di proporre un progetto di sindacato che sia in grado, ai vari livelli organizzativi e istituzionali, di rispondere a questa sfida.

È singolare constatare che nel momento di massima sintonia tra il vertice di AN e il vertice della UGL (leggete i post sul tandem Fini / Polverini), chi ha rappresentato questo legame per 37 anni (ricordate la militanza integrale?) coniugando la rappresentatività politica con l’ottica sociale del sindacalista, decide di uscire dal partito senza ricevere neanche un attestato di solidarietà da parte del vertice dell’UGL.

Il suo segretario generale, Jaap Wiennen, in una laconica missiva, ha comunicato a Renata Polverini, segretario generale dell'Unione Generale del Lavoro, la decisione del CIS circa il mancato accoglimento della richiesta di ingresso nella Confederazione da parte dell'UGL.
Secondo i rappresentanti sindacali della Confederazione Internazionale, l'UGL non rispecchierebbe i criteri di autonomia politica e di trasparenza definiti dallo statuto CIS, pertanto la sua richiesta di entrare a far parte della Confederazione Internazionale, é stata bocciata all'unanimità.
